Our oldest and most traditional tea for original strength and flavour. We use small leaf orthodox "second flush" Assam teas blended together with the best West of Rift Valley Kenyan teas produce strong smooth, malty flavours without bitterness. We specially seal these teas on the tea estate to ensure their best and freshest flavour is retained.

Brew the perfect cup
At Ringtons we have been selecting speciality teas for our customers since 1907. Our tea-obsessed Tea Tasters travel the world to find the finest teas and we are proud to bring you our range which will delight tea-lovers of all kinds. We suggest the following preparation, brewing and preservation tips to help you fully enjoy your Ringtons tea.
Preparation – Use one heaped teaspoon per cup for the perfect tea. Freshly drawn water (which has not been over-boiled) will bring out the finest flavours of our teas. Just boiled water is the ideal temperature.
Brewing - All teas need time to properly infuse, releasing their true flavours. Ringtons Northumbrian Blend Loose Tea is best brewed for 3-5 mins, but no longer.
Serving suggestion - Can be served with or without milk
