It started thirty years ago with a simple idea - that a business built on relationships should give something back to the places it calls home.
Since 1996, we've given £908,009.45 through the Community Foundation, reaching 251 organisations across the North East, with our support spread across six cause areas close to our hearts – women, families, older people, children, disability and disadvantage. Disability (24%), older people (20%) and families (18%) are among the areas we've supported most.
It's part of something bigger, too: over the past 30 years, the Community Foundation has awarded £189m to good causes, supporting 597 organisations along the way.
It's supported causes across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and beyond, all working towards the same thing: a thriving, generous, inclusive North East for generations to come. And while our roots are firmly planted here, our reach doesn't stop at the region's borders – we'll be supporting charities across the whole of the UK in the months ahead.
Because whether it's a cuppa and a chat for a support group, or funding that changes a family's future, when you support Ringtons, you're supporting your community – wherever that community happens to be.
