Ringtons Recipe: Classic Iced Tea

Slow Down this Summer...

With the promise of summer just around the corner, we look forward to the warmth of the sun and those beautiful long summer days.

Take a moment to slow down, embrace the beauty in everything around you and enjoy a refreshingly chilled drink.

Classic Ringtons Iced Tea

It wouldn't be summer without a big jug of iced tea.

Ingredients

  • 6 Ringtons tea bags (your tea of choice)
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp runny honey
  • 3 small lemons, 2 juiced, 1 sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • Small bunch of mint
  • Handful of berries
  • Ice to serve

Method

1. Pour 1.5 litres boiling water over the tea bags, stir in the sugar and honey.

2. Leave to infuse for 10 mins, then strain and transfer to the fridge to chill until cold.

3. Pour the chilled tea into a large serving jug, stir in the juice of two lemons, add lemon, lime and orange slices. Fill the jug with ice and stir well.

4. Pour the iced tea into glasses and garnish with berries and fresh mint.

Top Tips
Make it Bubbly

Right before serving, simply top the jug with your favourite sparkling soft drink such as soda or elderflower lemonade to add a little fizz to your tea.

Make it Boozy

Once the tea is fully chilled, add your favourite tipple such as spiced rum, Pimm’s or gin, then garnish as normal.
