We’ve recently become the latest tea company to join industry-wide tea sustainability programme, The Ethical Tea Partnership. The ETP is a non-commercial alliance of international tea companies who share a vision of a thriving tea industry that is socially just and environmentally sustainable.
Sarah Roberts, Executive Director, ETP explains. “I am particularly delighted to welcome Ringtons to ETP having been introduced to their door-to-door products by my Northumbrian in-laws. I now know what a diverse business Ringtons is, and their established supply base and links into the retail sector, means we can influence even more tea supply chains for the benefit of workers and the environment.
“There’s a real sense of momentum at ETP and it’s very encouraging that more companies are seeing the benefits of taking a collaborative approach to improving the conditions of their supply chains.”
Linda Griffiths, our Supplier Liaison Assistant, adds. “The last few years have been an exciting period of expansion for Ringtons. Many of the traditions upon which the business was founded remain unchanged and we continue to value good, long-term relationships with our suppliers. We are therefore very pleased to have the ETP support in this.”
