A strong breeze and the ship has some movement. Very little bathing to-day as the water in the bath heaves from one end to the other with a mighty splash and it is also quite cool. We saw the high land of Crete about noon and it was interesting to know that the water between Crete and North Africa was on an average 9 thousand feet in depth. Saw Gavdo Island about 4pm – the Gavdo Lighthouse is said to be the highest in the world.
