Ringtons Arrives in Beautiful Weymouth

Ringtons Arrives in Beautiful Weymouth

Ringtons Arrives in WeymouthThe streets of Exmouth will be taking a step back in time this month as the 8th Velo Vintage cycle ride takes place.  Supported by Ringtons, the large gathering of cyclists will don their finest vintage ware, hop on their bikes and have a jolly good time enjoying a leisurely cycle and a spot of afternoon tea, at this unique event!

Launched by cycling enthusiasts in 2007 Velo Vintage has become an essential event for both vintage and cycling enthusiasts alike with groups of like-minded people getting together to enjoy a relaxing afternoon of fun.  Originally organised for a group of friends, the events became so popular they were opened up to the public and they now attract people from all over the country.  With a love of Devon Cream Teas supported by Ringtons, these are truly unique events, with a motto that is very important to them; “Time to cycle, take tea converse and dress with style.”

Ringtons has been supporting Velo Vintage for a number of years, but this year will be particularly special as one of the event founders, Sebastian (Seb) Cope has recently joined the Ringtons family as a salesperson for our brand new site in Weymouth (Dorset).

We are delighted to welcome Seb to the Ringtons team and our brand new venture will allow us to reach even more Ringtonians in the south of the country.  Weymouth is one of several new Ringtons sites in the area – we most recently launched in Newton Abbot and Yeovil, and have our sights set on Barnstaple next!

To celebrate the launch of our new Weymouth service we are holding a special event on Thursday 4th June 2015 and inviting locals to join us at The Crown Hotel in Weymouth (9am-12noon) for a cup of Ringtons, some tea-based fun and competitions.

We’ll even have a traditional horse and cart, a 1930s vehicle and a modern van on display, so you can see first-hand how we’ve delivered tea through the ages – if we’re lucky Seb might even bring out his Penny Farthing!

As well as covering Weymouth, Seb will be bringing Ringtons’ personal delivery experience to homes in nearby Bridport and Dorchester.  If you or your friends or family are keen to find out more about becoming a Ringtons Weymouth customer call 0800 052 2440 or email tea@ringtons.co.uk.

Two further Velo Vintage events are planned for September in Exeter and another in December and as you can imagine Ringtons will be putting the (cast iron!) kettle on for the fantastic events too! We’ll keep you up to date with their adventures!
