Ringtons Lapsang Souchong Loose Tea. Chinese black tea with a slightly sweet and smoky flavour, this Lapsang Souchong from Ringtons is the best Lapsang Tea we've tasted! The fresh tea leaves are exposed to sweet pine smoke to create a truly distinctive flavour, making Ringtons Lapsang Souchong a very unique cup of tea.

  • Traditionally grown and processed tea from Tong Mu village at the centre of the United Nations' Wu Yi Shan Biosphere Reserve Fujian Province, south-east China.
  • Pure, authentically smoked, Lapsang Souchong - Zhen Shan Xiao Zhong
  • Light in colour, with a perfect balance of sweetness and smokiness. Perhaps an aquired taste, but perserverance is definitely rewarded.

Caffeine guide - medium

Infusion instructions - fresh water, 'just boiled' to 100C and infused for 3-5 minutes.

Perfect

I'd agree with the previous reviewer; this is definitely the best lapsang I've ever tasted. I drink a lot of teas, and always plain and simple - no milk, no sugar - so the tea has to be good. This is excellent. Utterly unlike the strong, one-note lapsang you can buy in teabags, this is wonderfully subtle yet full of flavour, and the scent is perfect. Very strongly recommended!

Best ever

As someone who has drunk twelve cups of loose Lapsang Souchong tea a day for years (with no milk or sugar), and who has tried nearly every Lapsang on the market, I can say without any equivocation that this tea is the best Lapsang Souchong I have ever tasted. It has a subtlety of flavour that is hard to beat and makes all other Lapsang teas taste coarse and cheaply tarry. Do not hesitate to buy this tea and give it a try. You will not be disappointed - I guarantee it! milk.
