Ringtons is delighted to be taking part in one of the most unique public art events to hit the north east – the Great North Snowdogs 2016 trail. Organised by Wild in Art in support of St Oswald’s Hospice, the streets of Tyne and Wear have been transformed into a unique art gallery thanks to the arrival of a colourful pack of Snowdog sculptures.
Trail-goers are encouraged to visit each of the 60 artist-designed large Snowdog sculptures and almost 100 smaller community Snowdogs throughout the 10 week trail which includes the Ringtons Dogfather – a tribute to one of the most iconic movie and book characters of the 20th Century – the Godfather.
The Dogfather can be found on Old Eldon Square in Newcastle and we will be on hand throughout the campaign with our limited edition packs of tea and a host of special events. Follow the adventures of Algie – as we’ve affectionately nicknamed the Dogfather after our head office on Algernon Road – via our social media channels below. Find out more about the Great North Snowdogs campaign on a dedicated trail website and download the special (y)app to help you find all of the Snowdogs and unlock trail-only offers – don’t forget to vote for the Dogfather as your favourite trail dog, or he’ll send the boys around!
