Darjeeling Loose Teas
Known as 'the champagne of teas', Darjeeling has a very distinctive dry character, and this means that in can be an acquired taste. The old bush varieties and cool climate result in slow growth and a concentration of flavour in the leaves. Although all Darjeelings have this recogniseable character, differing techniques in the making of the tea have created a surprisingly large variety of flavours and intensities. Even though you maight think it's 'wrong', please don't be shy of adding a little milk and sugar to Darjeeling - this makes for a very different tasting experience.
