The Laphroaig of the Tea World Review by NBL
Quality A beautiful tea. It stands head and shoulders above other teas I've tried. It has a beautiful smokiness that is perfectly olfactorial. It reminds me of happy camping trips with wood fire, smoke caught in fir trees in glens, summer evenings burning wood - then there are more intense hints of railway sleeper, sweet childhood mindings of fresh sweet (never acrid) creosote, grass fires, summer walks on disused railways... now I know this all sounds a bit Jilly Gould (and perhaps a little unpleasant sounding) but it really is a sensory experience both brewing and drinking this fabulous tea. A fantastic tea Review by JL
Quality Not for everyone given its strong and smokey flavour, but to me it is a perfect afternoon/evening tea. The Ringtons blend is not overpowering and when brewed correctly presents the full subtlety and complexity of this variety of tea. Infinitely superior to any other brand I've tried and certainly head and shoulders above the Twinnings tea bag equivalent. Strongly recommended for fans of Lapsang Souchong or someone who is adventurous in their tastes. (Posted on 20/03/2012)

Perfect Review by Tanguera
Quality I'd agree with the previous reviewer; this is definitely the best lapsang I've ever tasted. I drink a lot of teas, and always plain and simple - no milk, no sugar - so the tea has to be good. This is excellent. Utterly unlike the strong, one-note lapsang you can buy in teabags, this is wonderfully subtle yet full of flavour, and the scent is perfect. Very strongly recommended! Best ever Review by trulyroman
Quality As someone who has drunk twelve cups of loose Lapsang Souchong tea a day for years (with no milk or sugar), and who has tried nearly every Lapsang on the market, I can say without any equivocation that this tea is the best Lapsang Souchong I have ever tasted. It has a subtlety of flavour that is hard to beat and makes all other Lapsang teas taste coarse and cheaply tarry. Do not hesitate to buy this tea and give it a try. You will not be disappointed - I guarantee it! (Posted on 11/06/2009)
