  3. More than expected Review by Amy

I'm drinking my third cup of tea made with this infuser (it arrived this morning- what can I say, I'm a tea addict), and I'm absolutely hooked.
The infuser and coaster are made of solid clear plastic, and the filter is made of a very fine metal mesh. It comes with instructions (which aren't particularly difficult but you should check them before use).
It's very easy to use, and nearly as easy to clean (I handwash everything anyway, so it doesn't bother me. The one thing that is slightly difficult is getting the suds out of the bottom, between the place where the filter is put and where the water out of the bottom, but running clean water through by pressing the bottom a few times fixes that)
Making the tea is also straightforward. Not too much mess, pretty hard to miss with the tea leaves. For a mug's worth of tea (I use the cheapest Marks and Spencer mug) you fill up about 3/4 of it (halfway up the logo) for a perfect amount (about a quarter of an inch from the top, plenty of room for milk). It lets the tea move around (although with small leaves it isn't very exciting) and it tastes much better than with a standard individual infuser. For the tea I've tried it takes about 5 minutes to stew (I like my tea strong, they recommend 3-5 with most tea and I think that's right).
I can't say enough good things about this so far. (Posted on 22/07/2010)

  5. The iPod of tea Review by Lindsay
    Quality

Great little tea infuser this. Innovation where previously there was just tradition! A few very minor issues:
    1. You need to get used to a slow pour to start as otherwise air can get trapped below the straining mesh and 'burst' the strainer out. This can be hazardous if tea leaves get lodged in the valve and prevent it from closing, allowing hot tea out, uncontrollably. This has happened to me, but shouldnt ever be a problem as you'll always have a cup handy.
    2. Expect some tannin discolouration if you are not religious with handwashing. And damage to the mesh if you dishwash regularly.
    3. Do not let visitors use it without a demo or explanation!
    4. How do I make tea for 4? (Maybe a new product idea?) (Posted on 28/11/2009)

Great product and a nice volume of tea. Have just ordered number 2, one each for myself and my wife.
I agree with Jimbob though, a ceramic or metal one would be a nice idea. (Posted on 22/10/2009)

This may be a tea infuser BUT it makes a great cup of coffee when you haven't got a cafetiere! (Posted on 01/07/2009)

  9. Amazing! Review by Cathman

First saw tea infuser in tapas cafe in whitley bay and bought myself one. Since then have bought 4 for gifts for people as it is "The Way to Make Proper Tea". What a great idea! Well done to the person who invented it! Goes even better with your Glass Mugs, never any spillages then! (Posted on 08/03/2009)

  10. Fabulous Review by Gaysey

I love this item - was a little sceptic as it's made out of plastic and not glass, but can't taste plastic. The only fault - in my opinion is - you can't see how much tea is going into cup/mug, and it would be quite nice to have that measurement on the side of the teafuser as I've had a few spills!
